The Veil Nebula is the remnant of a supernova explosion that occurred about 5 - 10,000 years ago.
Image is obtained through a refractor William Optics FLT98 (98/618 mm), TeleVue field flattener/reducer 0,8x, Lumicon DeepSky filter,
SBIG ST8300 CCD camera, guided on QHY5 , 16x6 minutes exposure. July 2012.

Image taken on Starlight Xpress SXVF M8C CCD, 12x300s, Megrez 80/480 triplet fluorite Apo, 0,8x TeleVue field flatenner,Celestron CGEM mount, guided with QHY5C and Skywatcher 70/500mm.
Old image (1995) obtained
through a tele 200mm/f:3,5 on Fujicolor super G+ 800 and 24 min.exposure.
